Review of The Gallows (2015) by Logan C — 09 Jul 2015

I thought the movie was great! It is shot as found footage, which at times got a little shaky, and overused. But overall the movie wouldn't have worked without it, and they even put a spin on it using multiple different cameras to get a different effect when people were away from the group, which was a great ingenious touch.

I loved that the entire plot of the movie was impossible to predict, but it was just predictable enough that you knew something was about to happen, it really helped in seeing the situation from the actors perspective.

The plot was great! Way more depth and character building than any other horror movie I've seen and an actual plot that stayed consistent and relevant all throughout the movie! Any bad review would come simply because somebody hates the found footage camera in hand style and couldn't get past that to see the awesome movie that existed underneath.

And from a director that is only 24 on a super cheap budget no less!
