Review of The Future (2011) by Dave R — 30 Jan 2012
To me this was a film about delayed adulthood in the modern world. the opening shot shows a couple sitting together on a couch but each is on their own computer. to me that says it all: technology has lead to an arrested development disorder for a lot of people in their 20s and 30s - anyone older remembers a world before social media and instant messaging took over our lives. as a result we have couple in their mid-30s who've never really faced a crisis... till now.
It's an interesting film and worth watching but just be aware, it's an art film and paced rather slowly.
