Miranda July's films should never be classified as quirky. They're unique and unconventional. One of the things I love about this film in particular is that it makes for a great midnight movie.
There's also a lot of strangeness which I enjoyed and couldn't help but care for these two characters and their very sad and lonely cat Paw Paw.
