This movie is funny, but it doesn't come close to being as side-splittingly hilarious as the live musical version. It does, however, hold true to the plot and the characters are very likeable. As a whole, this is a lot of fun, but given the choice between seeing the movie and seeing the live musical, I'd pick the musical every time.
