The movie that set the tone for smart, intelligent thrillers, 'the fugitive' is a definite classic. Brilliant performances all around, with very believable characters in very believable situation.
Nothing in the movie seems contrived or made up - Ford plays a middle aged man on the run, who relies on his cunning to stay one step ahead of the extremely intelligent federal agent on his tail. The movie does not take time to explain all the action and the twist in the end is unexpected, satisfying and well executed.
