Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Ed A — 28 Dec 2010
This is nostalgia for me. I grew up watching this, The Blues Brothers, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sound of Music, Batman, Terminator 2, etc. etc. Mr Ford does a good job in this. And I believe this was the birth of Tommy Lee Jones' hard-arse softy Law Enforcing character that became a franchise for him in later years with US Marshals, Double Jeopardy, In The Electric Mist and No Country For Old Men to some degree.
Has a haunting beginning that creeped me out as a kid. Classic scenes are the bus escape, drain escape and jump into waterfall, shaving his beard off, sneaking into the one-arm man's house, disappearing into St.
Pat's day march in Chicago, and final laundry showdown. Fond memories.
