Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Tom T — 16 Jan 2011
After watching this film several times before but never having the chance to watch the whole thing, I finally watched The Fugitive from start to finish. Harrison Ford plays a doctor whose sentenced to death after presumedly killing his wife.
But whilst being transported via police bus he manages to escape and goes on a crusade to find his wife's true killer, whilst at the same time evading the US Marshall (Tommy Lee Jones) constantly on his tail.
Although The Fugitive is a gripping thriller with great dialogue and two big named stars in Ford and Jones, I felt slightly let down at the films ending; as it was a bit of a come down to the rest of the film.
But don't let that put you off this film, its interesting and suspense filled and is worth a watch. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones have a great presence on screen, as two characters who respect each other for their intelligence and work rate.
All in all The Fugitive is good viewing.
