Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Rifqi T — 18 Jun 2015
The 90s was a really good decade for action films, and this is one of the finest of that era. The two leads are very different types of characters, who play very well off each other. The extremely well-paced plot starts them out as adversaries and gradually brings their interests in alignment in a manner that maximizes suspense.
The supporting cast is superb, featuring veteran character actors like Jeroen Krabbé and Joe Pantoliano, and some rising stars, particularly Julianne Moore is an early prominent role. Andrew Davis, a reliable action director who helmed career peak films for both Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal, does the best work of his career here, especially on a series of action set pieces that are some of the best of the decade.
