Review of The Frighteners (1996) by Tristan P — 01 Nov 2010
Before Peter Jackson tackled the monumental film series that would be Lord of the Rings, he handles a film that could've been up Tim Burton's alley.
The movie is set up as a good old-fashioned ghost comedy, but loses its freshness when a murder mystery is unravelled. Even then, it keeps its goofy tone.
