Review of The Frighteners (1996) by Orlando D — 18 May 2012

Superb action comic horror with some startlingly inspired CG effects that have stood up better than most. Fox is amazing as the plucky hero battling the forces of darkness in a real thrill ride of impossible odds and supernatural revenge.

Thankfully Jackson proved with this movie he could cope with a big budget and bigger talent and would go on to use this as a stepping stone to the massive films he went on to create. Highly recommended.
