Review of The Freshman (1925) by Gareth D — 22 Dec 2016
Perfection. One of Lloyd's best features that pre-dates every underdog sports movie of decades to come. Love it. His suit falling to pieces in the party has to be seen to be marvelled at. Story structure rounds off the movie like a charm.
How the audiences must have roared and cheered. I particularly respected the depiction of cruelty. This honesty elevates the film above an average comedy.
