Review of The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981) by Beth S — 28 May 2008
Melodramatic to the max. I think I laughed when I wasn't meant to. Two beautiful and talented leads (obviously), but they bordered on goofiness, and the 'Woman' herself makes very little sense.
Her character isn't very well-written. Interesting interpretation of the 'fallen woman,' though.
