Review of The French Connection (1971) by Mateusz Z — 05 Jan 2011
A cop flick, gritty and grey (cinematically and morally) in the way only a 70s movie could. It's no surprise the slightly less low-key Dirty Harry came out the same year. It's a pity The French Connection is often remembered solely for its celebre car chase scene (which is, incidentally, still great).
