Friedkin was fortunate enough to make two defining films in the seventies, two films that would mark him out as one of the great anti-establishment directors of the time...one was The Exorcist, this is the other.
..Unfortunately he was never to scale these heights again but then again some directors go through a whole career with nothing meaningful to show for it...
