Review of The French Connection (1971) by Bryan C — 01 Mar 2013
I think it's hard to review an older movie 40 years after the fact because the movie is taken out of context, both historically and technologically. By modern standards, the pacing is a bit slow and the action is antiquated. But it holds up as a gritty, intense, well-made movie with solid performances, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Grade: A.
