Review of The Fox and the Hound (1981) by Joe H — 30 Aug 2012
Of all their animated classics, The Fox and the Hound is by far Disney's most mature and most tragic film about how society can shatter the innocence of childlike friendship. The bittersweet ending is absolutely perfect, as Todd and Copper realize that they can continue to be friends, but only from a distance, as they both follow their own paths.
