Review of The Fourth Kind (2009) by Corey C — 11 Jun 2012
A fake recreation of fake but purportedly real events: seems ripe for some sort of meta-textual commentary (like HOUSE OF LEAVES!), and the movie hints around that, but it settles for being creepy for an hour before devolving into dumb bullshit near the end.
Also: if you're attempting to pass off footage as real, attempt to make it believably acted (see the interminable interview sequences near the end). But I was unsettled for part of the time, so that counts for something, though then it just got goofy.
