Review of The Four Musketeers (1974) by Brad W — 29 Aug 2008
This is the continuation of Lester's Three Musketeers film which the Salkinds' cut in half to get two pictures for the price of one. It is actually better than the first one with a darker, more serious tone than light and frothy first part.
Faye Dunaway is ice cold as the coniving Milady and Michael York & Christopher Lee perform the BEST sword fight in cinema hands down as D'Artagnan and Rochefort duel each other in a convent at the film's climax.
William Hobbs fight choreography is simply the GREATEST.
