Review of The Fountainhead (1949) by Jan K — 01 Nov 2007
Nothing exposes the insanities of capitalism better than the attempt to put Ayn Rand's terrible novel to film. Where characters are supposed to come across as confident, intelligent and powerful they end up being exposed as cold, rigid, and neurotic.
The reason why this film is wonderful is that it contradicts the intentions of its creators in the most beautiful way.
