Review of The Fountainhead (1949) by Mercedes V — 20 Jan 2008
See it at least once. Ayn Rand's stuff is a bit pretentious, and there are some strong anti-communism themes throughout, but Patricia Neal was especially good in it. She reminded me a lot of Kate Mulgrew of Star Trek: Voyager, though, so that was a bit distracting.
Gary Cooper was pretty wooden, but that may have been on purpose. Worth the time, but not the greatest ever.
