Review of The Fountainhead (1949) by Andrew K — 09 May 2011
This movie felt like a sneak preview for the novel -- except the movie did not contain any of the best part of the novel... 2 of the characters were well cast, but that is it. It feels like Rand only wrote the screen play so that no one else would butcher it. Perhaps she should have let someone else try.
The fountain head is one of the best books I've read -- and this film fails on many levels to live up to it.
It was good to watch if only to see the actual buildings as they were described in the book!
