Review of The Fountain (2006) by Stephen P — 07 Feb 2013
I appreciated the concept of the film but found the first half of the film a bit too confusing and you don't start to get an understanding of whats happening until half way through - which feels like a long time.
I would say the film failed because the director made it too complicated with too many very deep philosophical and social metaphors made only more complicated by the 3 simultaneous stories taking part in the past/present/future.
I think it could be a superb film if I watched it again now that I understand the plot, but frankly, I cant be bothered!
