Review of The Fountain (2006) by Dr. F P — 19 Mar 2013
Wow! I'm not entirely sure what to say about The Fountain. I had been listening to Clint Mansel's soundtrack for it over the past year so I thought I should see it already. The visuals are extraordinary, the whole story absorbed my body and there are a number of ways to interpret it, I felt like crying! It blows my mind how macro photography was used too.
Whilst it was good there are things missing from it that could have made it that extra star but i'm not quite sure what they are. It was a push to give it 4 stars instead of 3 and a half but considering the affect it has had on my own perspective of life and death I thought what the hell, not only that but Clint Mansel's score is so beautiful I can't get over it.
