Keaton is superb in the lead role and showcases the vast range at his disposal. The film has a range of supporting cast members, but they are essentially trumped by Keaton's central performance. The story of MacDonalds history is a classic story of capitalism and greed, but Ray Kroc wasn't the villain by choice in this version, he was after self preservation as well.
The Founder isn't a classic, but it is a good film that deserves more recognition. Hancock definitely can handle these bio films, but he can't create a film with added depth. I would say without Keaton in the lead, this film would only be average.
