Review of The Fortune Cookie (1966) by Sunnie D — 19 Jan 2009

This is not a great movie in and of itself, there is some pretty pedestrian acting in it and the story isn't the most well paced. However one thing makes this movie 4 stars and makes it a worthwhile return watch.

That thing is Walter Mathau! His portrayal of a sleazy ambulance chaser lawyer is nothing short of great! Not only does he steal every scene he is in, he chews up the scenery and soars of the screen!! This is a must see just for Mathaus performance!A performance which brought him a very deserved supporting Oscar!
