Review of The Forest (2016) by Will E — 09 Jan 2016
The first wide-release film of 2016 like many films released in January is a definite waste of your time. I HATE scary movies because I get scared easily, this movie will not make you jump even a bit. This is a classic case of a newer director (Jason Zada) taking an interesting premise and not knowing what to do with it at all. That being said, Natalie Dormer ("Game of Thrones") gave a solid performance as well as her male co-star Taylor Kinney ("Chicago Fire") but that was not enough to save this film. This film just doesn't know what it wants to be.
Verdict: SKIP IT.
