My son and I think this might be the only English language 'serious' film Jackie Chan has made. I know he has done 'serious' films in Chinese, but I think all his English films have been comedic in one way or another.
This is a formulaic 'revenge' movie, but very well done. Jackie Chan does a lot of his patented stunts, but his age is showing. Pierce Brosnan is terrific as the bad guy and everyone else does a great job.
Great fight scenes and blowing stuff and shooting lots of folks. Not a very deep movie, but we liked it. The plot is sort of weak in some ways, but if you like action movies this is a good one.
