Review of The Foreigner (2017) by Ellen%20 M — 21 Jan 2018
So it look like Jackie Chan was the terrorist in this film. We understand that his daughter was killed but not by the guy he torments throughout the movie. Jackie Chan has amazing abilities always popping out of a shadow, showing up to kill off a militant team before swat even knows what happened, and knowing where Brosnan will book a room before he does, showing up behind his shoulder from the shadows; who really is the victim? I want it to be Chan but Brosnan really didn't know and it wasn't his fault, but getting the back end of the stick throughout the movie. Brosnan attempts to protect himself from a psycho with skills and his men are only trying protect him from Chan who is tormenting for "Names" In the end Chan gets the bad guys but Pierce Brosnan; is the real victim; psycho Chan breaking him down from the beginning until the very end, both women in his life and his nephew betray him in the worse way, he becomes a puppet for the Brits in the end, and the real puppet master gets to frames Brosnan.
Action great but Jackie Chan is the terrorist and Brosnan was the victim; wrong place wrong time? Movie message - bad one.
