Review of The Foreigner (2017) by Larry L — 14 Oct 2017
Finally. First movie in months that didn't bore me. This political action-thriller has a little of Patriot Games, a little of Bourne, and a little of Taken. Chan and Bronsnan are excellent, the plot and character motivations are emotional and well-driven, direction and editing are crisp, and the story is compelling.
The crowd in my theater cried, gasped, and laughed. An engaging, enjoyable movie.
