This movie was superb. Sad to see it get it low ratings although, I could tell this movie could be offensive to American ideas of terrorism. The two main themes that manifested themselves during the film was that terrorism knows no single color as well as, terrorism can be a justifiable and heroic.

Basically, the viewer watches two forms of terrorism (that is foreign, i.e. not ISIS), Jackie Chan and IRA , and he or she must unconsciously acknowledge that Chan is being heroic placing them in a position which, would go against the majority of 2017 American ideal ideaology.

Honestly, these "critics" talked more about acting than the actually movie, makes me wonder if they had a certain expectation or bias against Chan before entering the movie.... Well anyway, the was great, didn't overstylize the fighting and didn't rely on cgi or the fighting to detract from an actual story.

Many of these movies that are getting "good" ratings on this site can not say the same. Beware of the critics who have no spine and fall back on Chan stereotypes which, could seem possible if you were reading these before hand and considering watching the movie.
