Review of The Foot Fist Way (2006) by Julia C — 06 Apr 2009
Enjoyably ultra-bleak dark comedy that plays almost like an experiment in how pathetic your lead character can be in a comedy and still be considered funny. It has all the instincts of the British OFFICE by finding the humor in the absurdly uncomfortable.
With this movie, Jody Hill has established himself as a different breed of comedy director who is willing to bring out the darkness that so often exists in between the laughs.
