Review of The Foot Fist Way (2006) by David E — 20 Dec 2008
Undercut my expectations slightly. I'd say I went in expecting 2 stars and ended up with 1. That is, I knew I wouldn't care about the story but I had hoped for more laughs. I did find myself rooting for Mr.
Simmons to beat "the Truck's" ass, but I think more out of a disdain for "the Truck" than an affinity for the self described "master of the demo." I probably only laughed three times.
I'm actually trying to think... there's the old lady being roundhoused, beating up the band.... and I'm sure once more somewhere. I just hope this doesn't hurt McBride's chances at future comedic supporting roles, because Mr.
Simmons would've been hilarious for a few minutes in a couple segments in a Judd Apatow movie. He simply in no way deserves a feature length movie.
