Review of The Foot Fist Way (2006) by Brandon K — 20 Jan 2009
Danny McBride has the lovable doofus role down to an absolute science. The movie itself isn't entirely original but the shoe string by the seat of your pants budget lends itself perfectly to the tone and even manages to keep things fresh.
It's a star making vehicle for McBribe who's performance is the equivalent of a head first dive into the deep end of an empty pool. The movie for the most part exists in that quirky indie realm we've come to expect but it does have a good natured heart beating underneath that Tae Kwon Do outfit.
