Review of The Foot Fist Way (2006) by Lester Y — 21 Aug 2009
Danny McBride plays a self centered Tae Kwon Do instructor and he's really mean. Sometimes its own brand of low-wattage Black Comedy works, most of the time it's just Danny McBride, well, being mean. I usually really like quirky, personality-driven no-budget comedies, but this movie is way too inconsistent and mean-spirited to guarantee a good time in front of the telly.
By the way this follows almost the exact same formula as Observe & Report, just with a more charismatic lead and a mall cop instead of a tae kwon do instructor.
