Review of The Fog of War (2003) by Chris O — 15 Feb 2011
The Fog of War is perhaps one of the most introspective looks into the decision making process by one of the key decision makers during America's interventionist foreign policy during the Cold War.
The "Eleven Lessons" of Robert McNamara's life are laid out in painstaking detail, which can only be revealed through the long lens of history after being decades remove from the events themselves.
The filmmakers do an excellent job of layering historical footage over the interviews with McNamara, and allowing his haunting voice to be the dominant feature of the film.
