Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Ronald B — 12 Dec 2011
Not everyone could stand it or completely admit or accept it, but FLOWERS OF WAR is the first Chinese movie that could touch our hearts so deep, so sad and so unforgettable-ever after FENG XIAOGANG's ASSEMBLY.
As a Chinese audience, I'm glad to recommend this film to friends all over America. Wish OSCAR would praise ZHANG or BALE for something, at least the nomination for BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM or BEST ACTOR.
