Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Brian L — 16 Dec 2012
This was an outstanding movie about a very important, and heart wrenching period of pre-WWII. Superbly acted by the entire cast, I don't think there was one person in the movie you felt indifferent about, except perhaps the extras.
I know the Japanese would like the world to forget about the atrocities THEY committed in Nanking but that is just too damn bad. I encourage everyone to see this movie for the historical accuracy, the acting, and the importance of recognizing what the Chinese people went through under Japanese occupation.
