Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Ashley M — 13 Jan 2013
The filming is beautiful. Some of the content is very difficult to watch. I don't mind that as long as the conflict is compelling, but after the main character evolved less than halfway through the movie, the rest of the plot's violence, hardships, and ultimate lack of complete resolution seemed gratuitous.
