Don't let the bright colors and sunshine fool you, this movie is far from happy. a concerning look at neglect, hardship and youth. told around the daily exploits or mischievous kids it contrasts youthful ignorance against the adults battle to say afloat.
It is a harsh, natural depiction of the childhoods of those who were born to unfit parents. the cast is brilliant with the young protagonist carrying the movie effortlessly while guided by the sometimes meandering director.
