Review of The Florida Project (2017) by Daniel H — 10 Nov 2017
The Florida Project is both fun and tragic. The raw joy of childhood is captured so authentically. I appreciated the empathy the film showed, but my heart broke for the kids. Still, it?s a needed look at overlooked people. Brooklynn Price and Bria Vinaite were so real and committed. Willem Defoe was charming. The Florida Project completely immersed you in the world of Moonee, and it?s carefree...until it isn?t.
Not always easy to watch, but worth it.
