Review of The Flock (2007) by Chris H — 19 Jan 2009
Half decent thriller with a dark story. The always watchable Richard Gere plays a sex offender registrar who continually keeps a close eye on his "flock" - his unorthodox methods have meant him being "retired" from the business and has 14 days to train up his young replacement (Danes who nails her character to perfection), with the disappearence of a local teenager being connected to one of his clients we get to see the seedy side of this job.
It was hard to watch at times due to its subject matter but Gere is excellent in the main role as was Danes. Just the pace of the movie that lets it down but worth a watch none the less.
