Review of The Five-Year Engagement (2012) by Jose L — 14 Jul 2013
Most of the laughs are drawn from the awkward moments between individuals, although it sometimes falls into the trap of crude humor. Still it's mild compared to a lot comedies that have come out recently.
It's the type of movie that seems like it would fall into the trap of taking the turn for the dramatic, and never pulling out, but it actually does a pretty good job of keeping the laughs going during the heavier moments.
In addition, it has one of the strongest supporting casts that I have seen in a while, mostly made up of semi-famous stand up comedians.
