Review of The Fisher King (1991) by Doug B — 23 Jul 2009
Terry Gilliam gets a lot of flak from people (Brazil fans mostly), for crafting such a "mainstream" film like this one. But if you take a real good look at the Fisher King, you see that Gilliam truly is capable of making a funny, feel-good movie, while keeping his artistic edge at the same time.
Robin Williams is in a role that actually fits his frantic personality, and Jeff Bridges is brilliant as usual.
