Terry Gilliam's Eye for the "otherworldly" always brings something extra special to his movies.
Jeff Bridges & Robin Williams are a Great on screen team. I dont think they've ever been in a film together since & really they should be, they are impressive the way they work off each other.
Amanda Plummer is Great she can play the cute-shy-strange girl or the Hellbound Murdering Psychopath! She comes from good stock & is awesome in this especially.
Mercedes Ruehl is best known to me from one of my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies "Last Action Hero" as Danny's Mother. shes from Big, another of my favorite kid movies. she great in here, she pulls you into her emotions, anger, & Betrayal she feels from Jack Lucas after he wins back his Talk Show.
This movie had me on edge for the last 40 minutes to the point that I was exclaiming out loud as the Two Thugs Attacked & Seemingly sill Parry, and when Jack Climbs up the castle walls to get to the 'Grail' I found myself Covering my eyes. Terry Gilliam always knows how to ramp up the tension & Really give the film that Hectic spur of the moment feel, when obviously its been planned out But he makes it feel like real life, that there is a real danger.
Great Movie.
