Review of The Fisher King (1991) by Dan H — 12 Aug 2014
A Terry Gilliam film starring Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams.....if that doesn't automatically sell you on this film I don't know what will. Both do fantastic performances in a film that is dark, funny, bizarre and very very sad.
The film also has a modern authorial legend/Don Quixote type vibe to it as well which is fun and cool whenever it appears. A complex, and enjoyable film if not, like most of Gilliam's work, a bit awkward/bizarre/weird at times as well.
