Review of The First Power (1990) by Brad G — 14 Oct 2010
More Satanist fun as Young Gun Lou Diamond Phillips hunts down supernatural slasher Jeff Kober in this far too serious genre mixer. Phillips, as usual, does his darnedest but the by-the-numbers plotting is really only enjoyable when super scary faced Kober gets his time to sneer and spittle his Evil Agenda.
The psychic partner really doesn't add much to the proceedings and I wish they explored Kober's incestuous past a bit more. But it's a solid way to kill an hour thirty. VF.
