Review of The Finest Hours (2016) by Richard Y — 05 Feb 2016
The critics are not being overly kind to this action flic, but me and the 4 other Old Geezers Who Go To The Matinee Alone did. The film does depend entirely on CGI, but it was excellent CGI, so there you go.
There is a story and Chris Pine shows that he can do more than flamboyant 'Captain Kirk' stuff, in fact I thought he was rather good. However, the action and the special effects really make this a good choice.
I left feeling cold and wet and satisfied that my action needs had been met.
