Review of The Finest Hours (2016) by Antonio M — 26 May 2016
One of the best movies I've seen, about human courage, faith, in both the engineer, and the coxswain, who each lead their men in the trial of their lives, to survive. The creative courage of both Bernie Webber and Ray Sybert, are phenomenal. If they each hadn't don't what they did, to make the time last on the tanker, and to take a life boat beyond its abilities, this story would have ended differently. It also shows how little life is valued by the people that built the tankers. Using dirty steel, and keeping the tankers in service. They should have been sued by all aboard, I wished it had shown more of what did happen with the poorly built tankers and the companies, and Ray Sybert.
If he had not known that boat like her did, and used his outstanding mind to give them all time, I know it would have been a tragedy. He deserves a huge credit for doing what he did. Ala in all, it shows the courage and heroism, of two humble men, who went beyond the call of duty, to save their crews.
I absolutely loved it!!
