Review of The Final Girls (2015) by Jordan V — 21 Oct 2016
Jokes are hit and miss, and while it creates a fun 80's vibe with it's soundtrack and visual style, it's attempts to parody the slasher genre aren't as strong as they need to be. "Scream", this is not.
However, the characters here are wonderful, and Max's relationship and chemistry with her mother is excellent. It needs to be for the movie to work, and luckily it does. It's fun, surprisingly sweet, and has a very cool world to enjoy.
