It's a great movie, shows the capability of the United States Navy, creates a realistic view of what can be done if time travel was achieved and makes one think about what the possible consequences would be for changing past events.

..if they would of blown the japanese fleet out of the water, its a pretty good chance that many of the advanced fighters as well as the ships might not have been developed...
